BRUSSELS: The best coffee spots

In this post I share my personal ranking of the best coffee shops in Brussels.

While delicious beer can be found on every corner of the city, a good cup of coffee is not always as easy to come by. I take my coffee very seriously. After trying almost every cafe in the city, I reduced my favorites to a list of three.

CAFÉ CAPITALE

Café Capitale in the city center sits on the corner of the notorious gay street and Rue du Midi. This is one of the coziest most charming places to enjoy a delicious coffee on a sunny or rainy day. I would name this the best coffee in the city.

Cafe Capital was nowhere near my home, yet I would make the special trek just to sit at my favorite table by the window, read a book, and people watch for hours. They also have really nice sandwiches and baked goods.

KAFFABAR

This flemish cafe truly honors the beautiful diversity of coffee-making by letting you choose the method you would like your coffee to be made. I never ate here but the food looks amazing. The cozy interior is the perfect place to curl up in a corner with a blanket which they provide. This is definitely one of the best coffee in Brussels you must visit.

On top of the amazing coffee, the most awesome thing about this place is the four legged host that is always there to greet you.

CORICA

Corica is located in the city center and it is a coffee bar, rather than a cafe. They embrace Italian espresso culture where you stop by for a quick shot. What is special about this place is they have coffee from all over the world. You can choose your grain, brewing method, and of course which coffee drink you want. They also sell all kinds of coffee paraphernalia, and have an industrial coffee toaster on site. This is truly coffee paradise.
