To make dulce de leche you need a pressure cooker and a can of condensed milk.

You don’t have a pressure cooker? It will change your life!

Instructions :

  1. Put the can inside the pot and fill with water until the can is covered.
  2. Add a little vinegar to the water to prevent the pot from staining.
  3. Close the pot and boil 30 min, start counting only after the pot begins to whistle.

After 30 minutes turn off and let cool. Once it has cooled, it is ready for use.

If one does not have a pressure cooker, it can also be done using a normal pot. Just place the can inside a pot full of water and let it boil for 1 hour. It must be checked frequently to ensure that all the water has not evaporated. If the water evaporates the pot and can will burn.  Add water when necessary.
