Grand Canyon Railway Hotel

I had an absolutely incredible stay at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams Arizona. The hotel shares the property with the railway station that takes you directly to the canyon.

A trip to the Grand Canyon takes a lot of planning. There are many beautiful hotels right on the Canyon, but these must be booked months, sometimes even years in advance. As you can imagine, canyon views from your hotel window will come at a hefty cost. We visited the south rim of the canyon. Williams is the closest city to the south entrance, only a 45 minute drive. The town is very cute and has a lot of bars and restaurants.

The plan was to stay only for one night, but an epic blizzard made us extend our stay one more night. The hotel is very big, has a pool, hot tub, and all the amenities to shelter yourself from the blizzard outside.

We were heartbroken to find out the hot tub was not in service on the day we got snowed in. However, we still loved the place and its cozy mountain lodge vibes.

Woke up to this view from our window.
We were not prepared for this...

There are many different ways to visit the Canyon, but if you happen to approach it from the south entrance, I do recommend staying at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel
